2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Keep your account credentials secure
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

You may not share or transfer your account to others.

3. Ferments Services

Ferments provides:

• Wine discovery and educational content
• Personal cellar tracking
• Sommelier messaging and recommendations
• Event and tasting notifications
• Premium subscription features

Ferments does not sell alcohol, facilitate alcohol purchases, or provide medical or legal advice.

4. Premium Subscriptions

Certain features require a paid subscription ("Ferments Premium").

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play
• Pricing and billing terms are shown at purchase
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled

Cancellation

You may cancel anytime via your App Store or Play Store account settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods unless required by law.

5. Notifications & Communications

By using Ferments, you consent to receive:

• Push notifications
• In-app messages
• Service-related emails

You may manage notification preferences in the app settings.

6. User Content

You may submit content such as:

• Wine notes
• Ratings
• Reviews
• Messages

You retain ownership of your content but grant Ferments a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and process the content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You agree not to post unlawful, offensive, or infringing content.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the Service
• Interfere with system security
• Attempt to reverse engineer the app
• Harass other users or sommeliers
• Use Ferments for unlawful purposes

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

8. Intellectual Property

All Ferments trademarks, logos, software, and designs are owned by Ferments or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

9. Third-Party Services

Ferments may integrate third-party services (e.g., payment processors, analytics). We are not responsible for third-party services or their content.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Ferments is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy of recommendations, or specific outcomes.

Wine recommendations are informational only and subjective.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ferments is not liable for:

• Indirect or incidental damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Personal decisions made based on app content

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the prior 12 months.

12. Termination

You may stop using Ferments at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations or legal compliance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Ferments is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of Ferments constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
